Dengue
- A mosquito-borne viral disease that spreads rapidly around the world.1
- Estimated that half of the world's population is at risk of contracting the disease.2
COVID-19
- Caused by a new coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, first identified in December of 2019.3
- COVID-19 cases have been identified across all seven continents.4
Zika
- Spread by the bite of an infected mosquito or passed from a pregnant woman to her fetus.5
- Has impacted 89 countries and territories.5
Pandemic Influenza
- Influenza viruses are constantly changing, making it possible for them to infect people and easily spread.6
- Last four pandemics killed approximately 50-100 million (1918), 1.1 million (1957), 1 million (1968) and 0.2-0.6 million (2009) people.7,8,9,10
