The European Society for Quality Research recognizes those individuals, organizations, companies, and public administrations that have demonstrated outstanding commitment, support, and efforts to endorse and improve quality management.
Every year, award winners are selected by the ESQR on the basis of polls, consumer opinion research, and market studies. The selection process includes research of public information resources, publications, advertising campaigns, charity projects, university projects, trade fairs, and exhibitions.
At this year’s awards ceremony, business leaders, academic experts, and quality professionals representing different sectors from all over the world were in attendance. Takeda was the only company from the pharmaceutical industry recognized by the ESQR in 2017.
Dr. Gerard Greco, Global Quality Officer of Takeda, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the company. In his remarks, he spoke about the ongoing positive changes as a result of Takeda’s global transformation and the comprehensive efforts to build one Quality Management System.
“At Takeda, quality is indeed everyone’s responsibility, and everything we do must have some direct impact on our patients. And we appreciate what an important personal responsibility that is for all of us,” he said.
“I am proud to work at Takeda,” he concluded, “and I accept this award for each and every person who works tirelessly in our Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D functions to develop and deliver exceptional products to our patients.”
